$7 Honor Society Tickets?
I just got this in my email from Livenation. Section 7 is a partnership between Windows 7 and Livenation. Every day they offer something to their members for $7. Sometimes it is merchandise to livenation bands and sometimes it is tickets to select concerts for $7. It is completely free to sign up, and there are a ton of great offers you can take advantage of once you are a member.
It appears that this Friday, the deal of the day will be $7 Honor Society tickets to select shows. The deal goes up usually at 10am PST. (1pm EST) For tickets, you log in to your account and click on the button under the Daily Offer to "Get It Now" It will give you a code that you can use at Livenation.com.
Hopefully some of you can take advantage of this offer and hit up a few more shows. You might also want to promote this to your friends who wouldn't ordinarily go see Honor Society - for just $7 (plus fees) they can check the band out - they will definitely get their moneys worth - and then some.
Also - today's offer is $7 tickets to Jordin Sparks - if you liked her on the world tour but weren't sure if you should see her on her upcoming tour - see if your show is discounted!

Concerts: Honor Society

Hard-edged rock at the White Rabbit gives way, at least temporarily, to pop/rock, and plenty of it, Friday night. Headliners Honor Society, tapped as a breakout band by Rolling Stone magazine last year, racked up a loyal audience touring with the Jonas Brothers (Honor Society opened the show in S.A. last August), Jordin Sparks and Timbaland. The album “Fashionably Late” is a hit. The bill also includes singer-songwriters Ashlyne Huff and Just Kait. Huff is a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville and the daughter of producer/session guitarist Dann Huff. She writes, or co-writes, her songs and produces a catchy pop-rock sound. Her debut CD, “Ashlyne Huff,” is due in June. Kait is an 18-year-old songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist who does pop/punk with verve befitting a teenager. Give a listen to her guitar-powered version of Donna Summer's “Hot Stuff.”
Fine print: Doors open at 7 p.m. $15-$20. The clubs is at 2410 N. St. Mary's St.; call (210) 737-2221.

Performers Honor Society - Honor Society has quickly become one of the most talked about bands of 2009. Since the Spring, Honor Society has been named a breakout band to watch by Rolling Stone and a Buzzworthy artist by MTV. They also earned an opening spot on one of the best-selling tours of the summer as they joined the Jonas Brothers and Jordin Sparks on the North American leg of the Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009. Honor Society's explosive growth is due in large part to the commitment of an ever growing base of intensely loyal fans that the band communicated with using both MySpace and YouTube. Their infectious sound, skilled musicianship, high energy live shows and sense of style has led to nearly 4 million plays of their music on their MySpace music profile. Honor Society's debut album, Fashionably Late, is due for release on September 15, 2009. High school friends, Michael Bruno and Jason Rosen, had spent time during their years in Rockland County, New York playing in various bands but had always spoke of forming a group of their own - one that would reflect their musical influences that ranged from Stevie Wonder to Prince to Kanye West. After graduating from college, Michael (NYU School Of Music) and Jason (Berklee College Of Music) connected with Andrew Lee and Alexander Noyes (who had formerly played drums for the Jonas Brothers). Andrew and Alexander would introduce rock music and similar influences to the group that would lead to a signature Honor Society sound. The band would spend the next year touring the New York and New Jersey areas playing at local bars, clubs and even house parties in order to build a solid fan base. Word about the band's music and live performances eventually caught the attention of the Jonas Brothers. After attending one of Honor Society's shows, the two groups met and formed an instant creative connection. The band immediately began recording songs for Fashionably Late with producer John Fields (Switchfoot, Jimmy Eat World) and the Jonas Brothers. In between their studio sessions, Honor Society hit the road with the Jonas Brothers as they launched their world tour in North America. For a band that had played house parties months earlier, it was practically a shock to their system. "It was seriously unbelievable!" reflects Michael Bruno. "We had built a respectable fan base on MySpace and a lot of them were from outside the United States. But to walk out to the arena with 50,000 people, start playing our music and have all those people singing the words you wrote...you can't describe that feeling." Honor Society was focused on completing their album and returned to Los Angeles to lay down several more tracks including the funky, 80's inspired rocker, "Over You"-- the first single from Fashionably Late and a song that would lend itself to their energetic live shows. The band premiered the song on Arthur Ashe Kids Day on CBS and even performed the single to a frenetic 5,000 fans in Toronto, ON on MuchMusic's Live @ Much program. The single has been already been added to XM Satellite Radio's KISS FM Channel and was recently featured on both Z100 in New York City and People.com. Other tracks, including songs written and produced by Honor Society, would get a new life in the studio sessions such as "Don't Close The Book."Alex Noyes recalls that "[Don't Close the Book] was one of the last songs we wrote before we left the East Coast. It was really a simple song but so layered with meaning for our fans, families, and friends back home."With each show fan respond grew and it became clear that the ballad was to be among the most popular of their songs. With 12 songs completed including youthful anthems like "Sing For You,"the wildly popular song, "See U In The Dark"and the dancefloor jam, "Nobody Has To Know," Fashionably Late would become the project that truly represented what Honor Society was all about. The band began to put the final touches on the album and set out on tour to introduce their sound to the masses. While simultaneously opening for the Jonas shows, the band would also headline their own club tour called The Full Moon Crazy Tour. With a second tour (Fashionably Late Tour) about to kick off and even more appearances lined up, Honor Society has become one of the hardest working bands in the business and they have no intention of stopping anytime soon. "It's hard to believe that a year ago, we were in New Jersey playing at local bars and clubs to anyone who would listen," says Bruno. "To have been able to finish our first album and create something that we believe is a true representation of where we have been and what we have become is beyond cool. We couldn't have done any of this without our fans believing in us from day one." Meet & Greet Clarification
There seem to be a lot of questions going around about meet and greets for the Here Comes Trouble tour so we thought we would clear some of it up. Please keep in mind that this information can change at any time due to the bands schedule, venue regulations, etc and we are posting it as a guide only.
Fan Club M&G
Every fan club member is entitled to ONE Meet and Greet. You must fill out the "Meet and Greet" form on the website at least a week before your show. How many pre-sale tickets you purchased, if any, has nothing to do with how many passes you will receive for the meet and greet. It is ONE per account. If you share an account with a friend, you will want to get your own account so you can both enjoy the meet and greet together.
Fan club M&Gs are before the show, but after soundcheck. Times vary and details will be in the email you receive a few days before the show confirming that you are on the list. Generally fan club M&Gs include a photo with the band and not an autograph.
Soundcheck
By filling out the "Meet and Greet" fan club form, you are entering yourself into a contest to win a sound check pass. Once again - each account can only win ONE pass. There will be 50 people chosen from the pool of M&G entries. It is possible that you and your friend might get split up and both won't win. The time of the sound check and the time you need to line up to be let in to sound check will be in the email you receive from the fan club when they let you know you won.
Merch M&G
So far this tour, purchasing any merch has gotten fans into the Merch M&G which occurs after the show. Generally merch M&Gs are autographs only and can be rushed. Please note that the amount of money you must spend on merch may vary from show to show, so if you intend on participating, be sure you have enough money on you to buy something. As far as we know, merchandise items range from about $10 to $50.
Various websites have also been doing contests for sound check and meet and greet passes. We have tried to post all that we have found for you to try and enter. But the only sure way for a M&G is to join the fanclub at www.honorsocietymusic.com

By filling out the "Meet and Greet" fan club form, you are entering yourself into a contest to win a sound check pass. Once again - each account can only win ONE pass. There will be 50 people chosen from the pool of M&G entries. It is possible that you and your friend might get split up and both won't win. The time of the sound check and the time you need to line up to be let in to sound check will be in the email you receive from the fan club when they let you know you won.
Merch M&G
So far this tour, purchasing any merch has gotten fans into the Merch M&G which occurs after the show. Generally merch M&Gs are autographs only and can be rushed. Please note that the amount of money you must spend on merch may vary from show to show, so if you intend on participating, be sure you have enough money on you to buy something. As far as we know, merchandise items range from about $10 to $50.
Various websites have also been doing contests for sound check and meet and greet passes. We have tried to post all that we have found for you to try and enter. But the only sure way for a M&G is to join the fanclub at www.honorsocietymusic.com

The quartet brings its vibrant R&B-infused pop to House of Blues Thursday as part of the "Here Comes Trouble" tour. Truth be told, Honor Society's ties to boy bands run pretty deep — drummer Alex Noyes used to pound skins for the Jonas Brothers before jumping behind HS's rims back in 2006. The quartet also gained notoriety by serving as the JoBros' opening act during their 2009 world tour. Honor Society's tunes host a lot of heartfelt, diary-entry verses and confectionary pop hooks, but the band also mixes in enough Saves the Day-style guitar power-pop and danceable soul of the Michael Jackson ilk to keep parents (or older siblings) accompanying interested tweens. A shimmering cover of the Cars' 1984 hit "Magic" completes a multigenerational delight to unite fans of all ages.
