2twenty6ten becomes 4zero9ten

In the end of January, the following video surfaced announcing that something was going to go down on "2twenty6ten" (aka today, 2/26/10)

Today, another video surfaced on the account called 4zero9ten. Honor society is definitely featured and seems to have some involvement with whatever this video is promoting, if anything. (It seemed to be footage from the LA CD Release Party)

Poser Twitters

We encourage you all to not create or follow fake twitter accounts.  While you might think they are funny, they can actually hurt the band in the long run so it is best to just not follow these people or create accounts like this.

If you have created a fake site - whether to play tricks on friends by using similar user names to the Honor Society members or to role play, we urge you to please delete these accounts. Even if the bio says they are "fake", this can still confuse people.

Here is a list of official twitters: (Taken from Kat's post on the official fan club)
Alex: ThePISTOL
Michael: RiskyBusinessMB
Andrew: IAMtheCOMMODORE
Jason: theroser
Band: honorsociety
When looking at the guys' twitters, make sure you're looking at their real pages. You can do this by seeing if the account is verified or not. At the top right hand corner there is a little check mark and the word VERIFIED ACCOUNT.

Other HS related people:
Chelsea, Alex's sister: Chelseaakins
Jack Rosen, Jason's dad: jrock56eb
Jay Bruno, Michael's brother: jbruno20
Official HS Fan Club Twitter: honorsocietyfc
HS merch.com: hsmerchdotcom

NED DOES NOT HAVE A TWITTER. Their crew members, Pete and Brett, do not have twitters.

And just in case you want to follow either Kat or Rebecca:
Kat: katfishh
Rebecca: Rebeccaxoxo

Taking Top Honors
Jason Rosen of Honor Society

Even before their first full album was released, rock & soul band Honor Society was already gaining wide acclaim for two soundtrack contributions, "Where Are You Now" from the movie Bandslam, and a cover of The Cars "Magic" from The Wizards of Waverly Place. More recently, Honor Society tore up the Kinks' classic "You Really Got Me" with Alvin and the Chipmunks on the soundtrack album to The Squeakquel. Some of you have even caught their version of "White Christmas" on the Target / iTunes exclusive All Wrapped Up Volume 2 last Christmas.

Honor Society was created when the club band Airborne – comprised of Jason Rosen, Michael Bruno, and Andrew Lee – were joined by former Jonas Brothers' drummer Alexander Noyes. Released in September of 2009, Honor Society's first full-length album – Fashionably Late – debuted at #18 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. The band worked with producer John Fields, well known for his work with Switchfoot and Jimmy Eat World. Despite the catchy pop melodies, there is a musical maturity behind the band's sound.

Keyboardist/guitarist Jason Rosen – himself a graduate of the Berklee College of Music – recently spent time with us to discuss the band, music, and his Korg keyboards.

Live Coverage FAQs

1. How do I let you know I want to Live Tweet?
It's simple! Just @reply to @HSLive with the show(s) you are going to.

2. How will people know I am live tweeting?
Before every show we will have a "live coverage" post.  It will include the link to the twitter list with everyone who will be tweeting from that show.

3. Do I have to be following HSLive?
Yes, we will not add you to our live coverage list if you are not following us.

4. What do I have to tweet?
Whatever is going on.  Are you playing games in line with new friends?  Did the gents just arrive and enter the building?  Once the show starts - if anything exciting happens - maybe they play a new song, Mike says something funny, Andy throws a pick and it sticks to a girl's forehead...

5. Do I have to tweet every song?
Not if you don't want to.  We do not want your live tweeting to get in the way of you having fun.  We have several live tweeters per show to try and get as much detail as we can.  Usually the setlists are the same so once we establish a setlist after the first couple of shows it is up to you if you want to tweet every song they are singing.

6. What if I get inside and have no service?
That's fine.  Obviously some phones are not going to work in certain buildings.  (I know that the Chicago venue often has signal problems, and the Clifton Park venue wouldn't let me tweet last time I was there)  Just try to fill in the blanks after the show, if you can.

7. I'm not sure what shows I am going to yet. What should I do?
Let us know the shows you are going to for sure.  If last minute you decide you're going to a couple more, send us another tweet.  We can add anyone to the tweet list at any time.

8. How many tweeters are you having per show?
As many as we can get! We will add people until our twitter lists tell us we can't add anyone else.  The more we have tweeting the more fun it will be :)

9. I want to help out, but my phone doesn't have twitter on it.  What can I do?
This goes for everyone - if you want to write up a review after the show, we would be more than glad to post it for you on the site.  After the show feel free to send in your review, photos, videos, etc to honorsocietylive@gmail.com.  We hope that most of our live tweeters decide to also write reviews for us :)

Please tweet from your personal account and not a street team account.  If your twitter is private, people who don't follow you won't be able to see your tweets in the list.  You might want to consider making your profile public for the night or making a second public account to tweet from.   We also have fans of all ages following us, so try to be careful with what kinds of language you are using in your tweets.

If you have any questions that aren't covered here, please leave a comment and we will edit the question in :)

Live Tweeting - Here Comes Trouble Tour

We are going to be trying to get Live Coverage for all of the Here Comes Trouble tour dates.  We are going to stick with our "twitter lists" like we did for the Timbaland mini-tour.

If you are going to any shows on the tour and wish to be a live tweeter - tweet us @HSLive and let us know what show(s) you are going to and wish to tweet for.

All you need to do is tweet updates during the show - the set list, fun things that went on, etc.  You can tweet as much or as little as you like - we don't want your fun to be interrupted by tweeting every last detail.  That is why we would also like if all of our live tweeters also submitted a review after the show.  It doesn't have to be anything super long or crazy, just a brief recap of how the show went, your M&G if you had one, friends you made, etc to expand on your tweets a bit.

Buy a Song, Help an American Athlete Win a Gold Medal

From Vanity Fair

Since Team U.S.A. athletes have to pay their own way to the Olympics, AT&T figured out a way for Americans to easily chip in to help alleviate some of the financial burden. The phone company asked an ecclectic group of musicians—from Mariah Carey and Train to Gloriana and Rascal Flatts—to created original, remixed, or revamped songs to be sold on iTunes for 99 cents to $1.29, with all sale proceeds from today until February 28 benefitting U.S. Olympians. (Ring and ring-back tones are also available for purchase.) AT&T pioneered the idea at the Beijing Summer Games and raised nearly $1 million.
"I can tell you from having performed at the Olympics with Train that being a part of this event in any form is an honor," says Train lead singer Pat Monahan. Honor Society lead singer Michael Bruno agrees. "For athletes, the chance to compete in the Olympics Games is the ultimate dream," he says. "We are honored to be able to share our music to both support and inspire Team U.S.A. as part of the AT&T Team U.S.A. Soundtrack."
Here are the songs available for purchase:
3 Doors Down, "Shine"
Mariah Carey, "100 Percent"
Gloriana, "The World Is Ours Tonight"
Puddle of Mudd, "Shook Up the World"
Rascal Flatts, "Unstoppable (Olympics Mix)"
Sugarland, "Wide Open (Olympics Exclusive)"
The All-American Rejects, "Move Along (Remix by Chad Hugo of The Neptunes)"
David Banner, "In the Zone (feat. BJ the Chicago Kid)"
Green River Ordinance, "Rise Up"
Honor Society, "Can't Box Me In"
Hoobastank, "Never Be Here Again"
Train, "The Finish Line"

Honor Society is also featured on the AT&T Team USA Soundtrack page - head over to their page at:
http://soundtrack.att.net/artist_detail.php?artist=honor_society   here you can purchase the song "Can't Box Me In" as an MP3 - of if you have an AT&T phone as a ringtone ($2.49) or an answer tone ($1.99).

Scavenger Hunt Tasks 22-26

This week will be the FINAL week of our scavenger hunt. Whoever has the most points at the end of the week* will win the signed Pollstar magazine!

Each day there will be 3 tasks posted at various times throughout the day.  Be sure to follow directions - sometimes you will need to wait and tweet or email all 3 tasks at once when the final task is announced.  Other times you will have until the next task is posted to tweet or email your answers. Anyone who does not follow the directions will receive no points for any of the tasks that day.

Some of the answers will be found here on www.honorsocietylive.com, others you will need to search the internet for and as always there will be some tasks where you must be creative and come up with the answers yourself!

We hope you all had fun with this and we hope to offer more contests in the future :)

*With the standings right now, the winner of the "guess the tour date announcement" will not change who wins. If at the end of the week it appears that the tour date announcement challenge will be important to figuring out who is the winner, we will postpone announcing who wins the whole hunt until we know who has won that challenge.

Happy Valentine's Day from HSLive!

Today's question is: What did Katie make to bring to the Timbaland show?

Have a great weekend and we'll see you on Monday with some more tasks :)

Our Sincere Condolences to the Noyes Family

We were deeply saddened to learn last night about the passing of Alex's father. From the first time we met Mr. Noyes at the February 2009 Irving Plaza/Fillmore show to the January 2010 School of Rock show, we always knew that he was was a proud father and faithful Honor Society supporter. Mr. Noyes always greeted fans with a smile and made sure the fans had their time with Alex, before Alex had time with the family.

To say that Mr. Noyes' time with us was far too short is an understatement. The reality is that all who loved and knew him will sorely miss him.

We ask our readers to please, please, PLEASE respect the family's privacy during this time of mourning. It's never easy to lose a loved one, especially one that is a father, husband, brother, uncle and best friend.

Feel free to share your happy, fun memories with Mr. Noyes in the comment section below - it will make the grieving process easier.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Thomas G. Noyes, Jr., may be made to the Eastern Christian Scholarship Fund, 50 Oakwood Ave., North Haledon, NJ 07508.

The Blockbuster Squeakquel Arrives Now With Over An Hour More of Music, Dancing and Chipmunk Fun With The All New “Squeak-Along” Bonus Content on March 30

LOS ANGELES, CA. (February 9, 2010) – The box office smash hit Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel sings and shakes its way to Blu-ray Disc/DVD Combo Pack, “Squeak-Along” double DVD, and DVD Single Disc March 30th from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. A follow-up to 2007’s Alvin and the Chipmunks, Chipmunk singing sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore are back for an encore in this hilarious “squeakquel” packed with over an hour more of music. The Squeak-Along bonus content includes new sing-alongs such as Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” teaches audiences how to dance like the Chipmunks with the “Shake Your Groove Thing” dance instructional video, games and more nutty fun for the whole family!

When a concert mishap lands Dave in the hospital, the Chipmunks take a break from superstardom and enroll in school to fit in with kids their age. But they soon face some stiff competition when they meet the Chipettes — a beautiful, talented trio of chipmunks discovered by Ian, the boys’ evil ex-manager!

From director Betty Thomas (Dr. Dolittle), the heartwarming film stars Golden Globe® nominee* Jason Lee (“My Name Is Earl”), Emmy Award® winner** David Cross (“Arrested Development”) and Zachary Levi (“Chuck”), and features vocal talent from franchise veterans Justin Long (He’s Just Not That Into You), Matthew Gray Gubler (500 Days of Summer) and actor-pop heartthrob Jesse McCartney (Alvin and the Chipmunks). Newcomers Christina Applegate (“Samantha Who”), Anna Faris (The House Bunny) and Amy Poehler (“Saturday Night Live”) lend their voices to the musically talented Chipettes as Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor, respectively.

The hit soundtrack to the Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel features The Chipmunks and The Chipettes covering some of today’s top hits and classic tracks as well as original songs including “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” “Hot N Cold,” “Stayin’ Alive,” and “I Gotta Feeling.” The album is certified gold by the RIAA for sales of over 500,000 and has reached #1 on the Billboard Top Soundtrack chart and #6 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart.

The Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack includes a high definition Blu-ray version of the film, and all hilarious bonus features from the Squeak-Along Bonus Disc including Sing-Alongs, Chipmunk Adventures, Munk Music Machine, Meet the Chipettes, Meet The Rising Stars, Music Mania, Shake Your Groove Thing, Music Videos, a Live Lookup featurette, and much more. The pack also includes a Digital Copy and a standard DVD, and will be available for the suggested retail price of $39.99 U.S. / $49.99 Canada.

Featuring more entertainment for the whole family, the “Squeak-Along” double DVD pack features an all-new bonus disc with over an hour of added Chipmunks Sing-alongs, music videos, featurettes and much more, and will be sold for the suggested retail price of $34.98 U.S. / $45.98 Canada.

The Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel will also be available in a single disc with two featurettes – Munk Music Machine and Music Mania – for the suggested retail price of $29.98 U.S. / $43.48 Canada.

Cant Box Me In Lyrics

If anyone hears anything differently - let me know in the comments and we'll try to figure out what is right. There's a couple lines I'm not too sure of.

I can feel it when I breathe
Electric pulses from the city run through me
The night is so alive
I can hear it calling my name
I’ve got a restless heart
I feel it beating out of my chest
And when it gets dark
It pulls me out of bed

I’m breaking out tonight
Gotta find what I’ve been missing
No more doubts in my mind
I don’t need your permission

So let me live
Underneath these bright lights
I can’t breathe trapped within a frame
You won’t find me stuck inside again
You can’t box me in
You can’t box me in

As I’m walking through the streets
A million stories echo underneath my feet
I see it in your eyes you and I are feeling the same tonight
You’ve got a restless heart
I feel it beating out of your chest
And when it gets dark
We take another breath

I’m breaking out tonight
Gotta find what I’ve been missing
No more doubts in my mind
I don’t need your permission

So let me live
Underneath these bright lights
I can’t breathe trapped within a frame
You won’t find me stuck inside again
You can’t box me in
You can’t box me in

No oh
Can’t box me in
No oh
Can’t box me in
Oh
No oh
Can’t box me in
You can’t box me in

I’m breaking out tonight
Gotta find what I’ve been missing
No more doubts in my mind
I don’t need your permission

So let me live
Underneath these bright lights
I can’t breathe trapped within a frame
You won’t find me stuck inside again
You can’t box me in
You can’t box me in

So let me live
Underneath these bright lights
I can’t breathe trapped within a frame
You won’t find me stuck inside again
You can’t box me in
You can’t box me in
